I can use all the other apps, but for some reason Steam doesn't start, It just opens a window with some kind of desktop.
When checking the logs of the container I see this
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0curl: (6) Could not resolve host: repo.steampowered.com
@ABeltramo commented on GitHub (Aug 11, 2025):
The error is fairly clear: Could not resolve host: repo.steampowered.com. DNS error? Network issues? Sounds like a problem on your side, not sure what we can do about it..
@ManuXD32 commented on GitHub (Aug 11, 2025):
I don't know, I am running it on an LXC in proxmox, but other containers work fine, prismlauncher can connect to internet with no problem but steam does not.
This are the logs when first starting the WolfSteam container, I am using the Intel/AMD docker compose as I use an AMD GPU:
@UGreatCthulhu commented on GitHub (Apr 6, 2026):
Well, it's not just him problem. I've got the same thing. LXC by it self has DNS without any problems, your software doesn't for some reason. And due to lack of ping, ip and nslookup i can't even properly diagnose this
@JBailes commented on GitHub (Apr 7, 2026):
Try running my quickstart https://github.com/JBailes/wolf/tree/main/quickstart
See if this still has a problem, the quickstart should be eliminating all of the network problems related to LXCs that we can solve from the Wolf-side. If the quickstart doesn't solve it, it should be an issue related to your specific setup that we cannot configure from within Wolf.
@UGreatCthulhu commented on GitHub (Apr 9, 2026):
After installing with this script network works fine, but there's another problem. I can't open any games. It says DX12 is not supported. And also AV1 doesn't works. My GPU is RTX 5060 TI

@UGreatCthulhu please open a new issue instead of replying here. Post your full Wolf logs and the final LXC config file that you are using too.
@UGreatCthulhu commented on GitHub (Apr 9, 2026):
I can't because i don't know the password neither of the LXC container created by quick start script, nor the containers inside the LXC
