Hi there, first, thanks for this great piece of software !
I am using the https://github.com/ndriqimlahu/moonlight-tizen client and I cannot get audio working with it and Wolf. After some investigation it may be because the client is requesting AAC audio or is not compatible with OPUS.
So my question is : is there any way to change the configuration of Wolf to use AAC audio codec or any future plan to support it ?
Kind regards.
@ABeltramo commented on GitHub (Sep 21, 2025):
Hi @dtony glad you like Wolf!
I think you are off track; AFAIK Moonlight and Sunshine only support opus codecs, not sure if Tizen is different in this regard but from a quick look at the repo I can't find any trace of AAC.. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
There's been some very recent work on fixing multichannel audio https://github.com/games-on-whales/wolf/pull/252 make sure that you are using the latest
wolf:stableby issuing:If you still get issues whilst running the latest, could you please provide the full logs of Wolf possibly with the env variable
WOLF_LOG_LEVEL=DEBUGenabled?@dtony commented on GitHub (Sep 22, 2025):
Thank you @ABeltramo,
I updated Wolf container but, unfortunatly, it did not solved the issue. I enabled DEBUG log level, please find attached the logs.

I carrefully compared the logs with moonlight-tizen and moonlight-windows and I can see on significant difference in the audio pipeline,
on Windows:
encrypt=trueon Tizen:
encrypt=falseHope it can help.
@ABeltramo commented on GitHub (Sep 22, 2025):
That helps, I don't think I've ever used a client that doesn't support audio encryption so that code path is definitely not well tested. I'll see if I can find a way to run it on Moonlight QT since I don't own a TV to run the Tizen client. Or is there some way to run that on a normal desktop, even if just for testing?
@dtony commented on GitHub (Sep 23, 2025):
Hi,
I have been able to recompile the Moonlight Tizen client to enable enryption and I can confirm that audio is working! For those who are curious to test, you need to change the following line:
https://github.com/ndriqimlahu/moonlight-tizen/blob/master/wasm/main.cpp#L308
from
to
That being said, it increases the decoding latency a lot to around 60ms which render the experience quite poor. I guess this is why it has been disabled in the client.
If you need any help to test some modification on Wolf side, please let me know.

Hi @dtony sorry this has taken me this long to fix. I've just opened a PR that should fix this, you can test it out by using the Wolf image
until it's merged back into
stable. Let me know how it goes when you've got a chance!
