Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/games-on-whales/wolf/issues/319

Server Information:

  • GPU: NVIDIA 1050 Ti
  • CPU: Intel i5-7600
  • GoW Nvidia installation: Manual

Client Information:

  • CPU/GPU: Intel i3-7100U
  • Touchscreen: D-WAV Scientific Co., Ltd eGalaxTouch EXC3000-0367-44.01.00

Bug Description:

  • Server seems to be processing touch inputs in a strange way. eg: (Real cursor gets offset when using touchscreen)
  • Persistent in the steam image: (Touchscreen sometimes uses the position of the real cursor instead of the touched screen in some instances)
  • Touchscreen does not work on images with RUN_GAMESCOPE=1 env (tested on steam and firefox images)

Replication:

  1. Install the WOLF nvidia container using the manual method
  2. Run server
  3. Connect client & launch the firefox image
  4. Go to https://www.onlinemictest.com/touch-screen-test/ (or any touchscreen tester)
  5. Take note of the visible mouse cursor before using the touchscreen
  6. Use touchscreen
  7. Move cursor with touchpad/mouse
  8. See that the cursor is now in a different position for some reason.

Gamescope:

  • Touch anywhere. In my example I am pressing the winter sales
  • Touch does not work, but it still does the mouse movement bug after moving the cursor via touchpad/mouse

What I've tried:

  • Running steam on SWAY, then running the game with gamescope -- %command% (makes the touchscreen consistent, but the resolution in gamescope is extremely pixelated, even with -W -H -w -h params)
  • Running steam with GAMESCOPE (touchscreen doesn't work)
