I don't believe this is an issue with wolf as I also have this issue when using steam-headless but was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction. I'm streaming wolf from my main gaming server to a mini pc over ethernet. I can run iperf3 for 12 minutes at 120Mbps against the server with no issues after the first second but as soon as I set moonlights bitrate over 40Mbps I start to lose frames due to the network connection. If I move it to 60Mbps it will fluctuate between 0-5% of frames dropped, at 80Mbps its around 20% and at 100Mbps it's around 40%. I used to run linux KVM desktop and was able to stream at 80Mbps with no issues so I don't think the network connection is the actual issue. I've attached the iperf3 results and screenshots of each bitrate and it's performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you, by any chance, have a realtek nic (on the server)? I had a similar issues with those. Changed to an Intel nic and all problems were gone.
@Mbuckley0 commented on GitHub (Feb 22, 2026):
Yes both the server and client have a Realtek RTL8125 NIC. I'd been considering getting a more powerful NIC for the server so this might be another reason to do so.
@DanielRiek commented on GitHub (Feb 22, 2026):
Switched from a 2,5-Gigabit-NIC (Realtek RTL8125-CG 2.5G LAN) to a Gigabit-NIC (Intel I211-AT)

I upgraded the ubuntu version on my host server and made some tweaks to the network settings on the host machine and everything appears to be running smoothly now.
