Hi GOW team, first the fact this project exists blew my mind (still picking up the pieces.. My brain looks like a detective story gone wrong).

I was researching if this was technically possible, maybe not on this project or maybe not in any other project so bear with me while I make up stuff on the way.

I understand that thanks to GOW a docker container can be created, to isolate the streaming process and apps on that streaming process to the TV or TVs is being streamed to. Great. So far, 1 app in the docker is streamed to 1 TV. So basing myself on this, what possibilities exist for this (technically speaking):

  1. A Docker can switch between streaming TVs (Like move it from one streaming TV to another).
  2. A Docker can stream to 2 or more TVs.
  3. Multiple dockers running on the host and each one streaming to a different TV.
  4. Can the host SHARE the same GPU between host and docker containers?

Each of these questions has a purpose related to education (Teaching math from the host to another TV at home), parental control (Controlling the App and time spent gaming or watching youtube for example) and ability to still use the host while also sharing to another TV in the same household (Me playing steam games on the host with the same GPU that is being used to share the streaming service).

I understand for some of these cases it depends on the hardware used, but lets assume for now, that I have a strong hardware, so the hardware would not be a limiting factor, what possibilities exist to technically be able to do the points mentioned above?

A Docker can switch between streaming TVs (Like move it from one streaming TV to another).

In Wolf, we support this OOB. You can start an app on one Moonlight client (TV A), leave it running and close the Moonlight client and then resume the same session over another client (TV B).

A Docker can stream to 2 or more TVs.

On top of the above, we also support co-op lobbies where TV A and B can both interact with a single app/game running to effectively enable the classic couch co-op experience.

Multiple dockers running on the host and each one streaming to a different

Yep, supported as well. You could have one Steam container streaming to A and another completely isolated Stream container (with a different user logged in) streaming to B.

Can the host SHARE the same GPU between host and docker containers?

Yes, that's exactly the reason why this whole process started. 😉

Each of these questions has a purpose related to education

Happy to help further with your use-case if needed!
