Sorry to bother you,
i followed the instructions on https://games-on-whales.github.io/wolf/stable/user/quickstart.html
I connected also to the server but when i want to start firefox i get a black screen, then disconnect and the following warning in the log:
Received MOUSE_MOVE_REL_PACKET but no mouse device is present
i did however create the rules under /etc/udev/rules.d/85-wolf-virtual-inputs.rules and Reloaded the udev rules (as root)
any idea what i could do? Thanks for all your amazing work.... sorry i am a noob.
@ABeltramo commented on GitHub (Nov 17, 2024):
Could you please post the full Wolf logs from starting the container up until the black screen/error? That warning is probably not the root issue..
@0815Developer commented on GitHub (Nov 17, 2024):
Absolutely - and thank you in advance - i really appreciate this great initiative and its a great idea to bring joy!
so i run an Ubuntu Home server with docker and many containers.... usually i dont do Host Mode for container but i think for this here its fine because of the extensive connection it needs (UDP).
I have and Nvidia Card 1650 Super that (should be correctly mounted with the toolkit as it is doing its work in Plex)
nvidia smi gives me this:
for sudo cat /sys/module/nvidia_drm/parameters/modeset
i get a Y
here is my docker compose file - i did not change much
I also did the scripts for Virtual input
for ls -la /dev/uinput i get
here is my log from starting the container to trying to open firefox
DISCLAIMER: I am a noob and cant spot an obvious Problem when its right in front of me because i lack experience... do an ELI5 of the problem:
@0815Developer commented on GitHub (Nov 17, 2024):
ok UPDATE:
i fixed the docker compose file a bit with chatgpt - im sure there is some crap in there that is not needed:
I also made sure that the nvidia and the devices are correctly mapped - that helped
at least i get Firefox working <3
Sound is not working though.. i dont get the whole pulse audio thing yet
@0815Developer commented on GitHub (Nov 17, 2024):
for everyone that has this issue - make sure that the devices in the compose file are properly written:

The example docker compose file is not complete in this part
