I followed the vllm-integration.md document and selected vLLM Python-only build (python3 python_only_dev.py) to install,then i got this errors after "python3 -m vllm.entrypoints.openai.api_server"
I can't find "mooncake_vllm_adaptor" anywhere, how can I install this dependency?
@ShangmingCai commented on GitHub (Dec 3, 2024):
Please install the Mooncake Transfer Engine according to the instructions first.
Then check whether the
mooncake_vllm_adaptor.xxxx.sois in your pythondist-packagesorsite-packagesdir.@tongyangyeyue commented on GitHub (Dec 4, 2024):
i find them ,thx

Hi, how can I fix this ? Could you help @ShangmingCai
ImportError: /home/miniforge3/envs/kvcache/lib/python3.10/site-packages/mooncake_vllm_adaptor.cpython-310-x86_64-linux-gnu.so: undefined symbol: _ZN6google15ErrnoLogMessageC1EPKciiiMNS_10LogMessageEFvvE@ShangmingCai commented on GitHub (Jan 15, 2025):
I wonder if you have installed mooncake transfer engine and vllm adapter according to the guide. When installing, you need to build and install with your python env activated, so that the
.solib can be installed into thesite-packagesdir.If the problem still exists, it may be related to your OS and the c++ lib when compiling.
@tongyangyeyue commented on GitHub (Jan 15, 2025):
after i make mooncake in build directory,i find mooncake_vllm_adaptor.cpython-310-x86_64-linux-gnu.so in build/mooncake-integration,then copy mooncake_vllm_adaptor.cpython-310-x86_64-linux-gnu.so to my python lib /home/ubuntu/anaconda3/envs/mooncake/lib/python3.10/site-packages/
@CharlesJhonson commented on GitHub (Jan 17, 2025):
Fixed!
activate python env, and build, the copy to python lib dir.
thank you very much. @ShangmingCai @tongyangyeyue
@pooyadavoodi commented on GitHub (Apr 14, 2025):
I think this happens because
make installcopies thesofile into/usr/local/lib/instead of the local venv directory.@pooyadavoodi commented on GitHub (Apr 14, 2025):
Just to help folks who follow the doc: https://github.com/kvcache-ai/Mooncake/pull/241
