System Info

Description

archive/ktransformers/ktransformers is a symlink pointing to /home/djw/py311_717/ktransformers/ktransformers, an absolute path on a developer's local machine. This symlink is broken on any other machine.

Introduced by

PR #1581 (commit 57d14d2) — during the repository restructuring that moved legacy code into archive/. The symlink appears to have been an editable install or development convenience link on the original author's machine that was committed to git as-is.

Impact

  • Any tool that recursively copies or traverses the full repo tree (e.g. shutil.copytree, packaging tools, mirroring scripts) will fail with FileNotFoundError when it encounters this dangling symlink.
  • The current Dockerfile is unaffected because it does git clone --depth 1 and never references archive/ directly.

Reproduction

@ErvinXie commented on GitHub (Apr 9, 2026):

Good catch — this is indeed a leftover from the repository restructuring in PR #1581. We'll clean up this dangling symlink. Thanks for reporting!
