This is a plausible integration area, but the request needs a bit more precision before triage can act on it. "IBM BOB" and "IBM Shell" can refer to several different products depending on the mainframe/software context (BOB is often Business Objects or a specific IBM tooling bundle, and Shell could mean the MVS/TSO shell, z/OS UNIX shell, or an unrelated product), and the success criteria currently say "not sure yet". Suggest clarifying: the exact product/tool name and version, what kind of artifacts rea would inspect (binaries, logs, exports, command output), and the concrete workflow. Once that is pinned down, an MCP connector or a small provider extension both look like reasonable shapes for this repo.

Since you got it running, it would be very valuable to share how you wired it up (e.g., the MCP connector config or the provider extension you used) so others can reproduce the same setup. If you can post the integration details, we can either close this issue or keep it open as a reference for a future built-in connector.
