I searched the open and closed issues for a related report.
I removed credentials, tokens, private paths, and sensitive target data.

Hopper deep-analysis provider · REA could not download or unpack the official Hopper package. Check network and filesystem access, then retry setup.

Reproduction

use command npx rea-agents@latest setup --client qwen_code to setup coding agent, but it failed, and the command line reported the following error.

Thanks for the detailed report. The interesting part is that setup is for the qwen_code client, yet the flow aborts because the optional Hopper engine package can't be downloaded/unpacked — so a hard failure in an analysis engine blocks enabling a coding agent that doesn't need it. Two suggestions: (1) treat optional analysis engines (Hopper/Ghidra/IDA) as warnings with a skip path (e.g. --skip-engines or interactive "skip and continue") instead of aborting the whole setup, so the client setup can still complete; (2) for the download failure itself, it would help if the error distinguished network reachability from checksum/unpack failures, and retried a couple of times (the reported env looks like it may be behind a proxy/GFW-style network, where a retry with clearer diagnostics usually resolves it). Meanwhile, HOPPER_LAUNCHER_PATH or installing Hopper separately is a viable workaround.

The interesting part is that setup is for the qwen_code client, yet the flow aborts because the optional Hopper engine package can't be downloaded/unpacked — so a hard failure in an analysis engine blocks enabling a coding agent that doesn't need it.
