📄 Description

Summary

Use one macOS version and one native package/runtime baseline per architecture: macOS 15 arm64 and macOS 15 Intel. Run real Inspector verification in each existing package job to eliminate two duplicate macOS jobs and dependency installations. Related to #740's platform verification guardrails.

Problem and expected behavior

The previous baseline split package installation and Inspector verification into separate jobs for each macOS architecture, using macOS 14 arm64 and macOS 15 Intel. Both architectures should retain the same checks with less repeated setup.

Change and scope

  • Consolidate macOS Inspector checks into the native package matrix after installed-package verification.
  • Keep the separate Inspector matrix for Linux x64/arm64 and Windows x64.
  • Pin both macOS architectures, plus the Xcode-dependent Apple artifact lane, to macOS 15.
  • Show platform and architecture in native package check names; update the testing guide.

Contract and boundary impact

  • Semantic owner and earliest changed stage: CI job composition only.
  • CLI and MCP/tool-catalog contract: unchanged.
  • Provider, bridge, target-format, or platform compatibility: same native architectures and verification commands; updated hosted macOS arm64 image.
  • Evidence, artifact, provenance, or reconstruction contract: unchanged.
  • Process execution, authorization, cleanup, or containment impact: retain two-job matrix concurrency, timeouts and one-GiB Node heap/two-thread limits.
  • Generated metadata, package, or installation impact: no product change; fewer macOS dependency installations in CI.

Evidence and regression coverage

  • Tests added or updated: no new source tests for workflow composition; existing Windows lane regression passed.
  • Base comparison: parsed YAML and compared expanded per-platform verification command sets before/after. Coverage is identical; macOS baseline jobs drop from four to two. Apple verifier steps and other jobs are unchanged.
  • User-visible CLI/MCP output: unchanged.
  • Remaining proof gaps: actual macOS 15 hosted arm64/x64 package and Inspector workflows, plus the Apple artifact lane, passed.

Validation performed

  • YAML parse and expanded-matrix command coverage, dependency/gating, runtime identity, concurrency and resource-limit checks passed.
  • tests/process-global/curatedWindowsLane.test.ts: passed.
  • npm run check -- --output-logs=errors-only: all five static gates passed.
  • Final workflow/documentation diff reviewed against GitHub-hosted runner labels.
  • All 23 checks passed for final head 94e1519e, including both macOS 15 architectures, real Apple artifacts, Linux x64/arm64, Windows and generated documents.

Compatibility, safety, and release

  • Breaking changes or migration steps: none.
  • Real Hopper/Ghidra, browser, or OS coverage: proprietary provider lanes unchanged; native hosted checks validate the new macOS image.
  • Package or release metadata impact: none.
  • Security, privacy, process, or containment review: no additional permissions, installs or host data; scoped workflow changes only.

Review checklist

  • One focused outcome and Conventional Commit title.
  • Related issue linked.
  • Verification checks equivalent native coverage and retained Windows behavior.
  • Owning testing guide updated.
  • No user-facing contract change.
  • Final diff checked for secrets and unrelated changes.
