Deferred from the silent-catch sweep (#637).

Locations: src/hopper/HopperCleanup.ts:107,140 — shutdown-request .catch handlers map failures to HopperProcessError(null), discarding the cause.

Problem: changing the error identity (e.g. preserving the cause or failure code) needs provider-owner review: shutdown sequencing and diagnostics may depend on the current identity.

Ask: decide what shutdown-request failures should carry.
