Before submitting

  • I searched related issue/PR reports using the test names and golden/hash terms.
  • I removed credentials and private target data.

Area

Other — main CI / managed producer goldens.

Observed behavior

Main 23def04096869b85c4d3c14a73ed09168483c9f6 reproducibly fails three source cases:

  • ManagedCilDecoding.test.ts: the documented decoded-CIL v1 vector expects a normalized hash; the result is malformed with normalized_il_sha256: null.
  • ManagedSignatureResolution.test.ts: the TypeSpec and out-of-table TypeRef cases expect parse_status: decoded; the result is malformed.

Hosted source failure. These managed source trees are byte-identical between clean main and #6316's tested merge; #6316 changes Node pin/export/setup guidance, not managed code.

Reproduction executed

Separate clean main worktree, Linux x64, Node 24.22.1 / npm 11.16.0, already locked dependencies:

./node_modules/.bin/vitest run src/dotnet/ManagedCilDecoding.test.ts src/dotnet/ManagedSignatureResolution.test.ts --maxWorkers=1

110 cases: 107 passed, the same 3 failed. 3.101 s elapsed, 3.092 CPU s, 438.8 MiB sampled process-family RSS. RSS may double-count shared pages or miss short-lived processes; no speedup claim.

Expected behavior and missing diagnosis

The source suite should pass with a consistent producer/fixture/documented-golden contract. NOT_ENOUGH_INFO: this report does not establish whether the new managed validation is wrong or the old fixtures/golden expectations need correction. Compare the signature-table/operand facts before changing expectations.

Impact and verification scope

Fails Source tests / CI required and affects unrelated maintenance PRs. Only synthetic managed-PE/source tests were executed here; no real .NET application or public CLI/MCP reproduction is claimed. Track the managed fix separately from #6316 and #6480's supply-chain work.
