Before submitting

  • I searched the open and closed issues for a related report.
  • I removed credentials, tokens, private paths, and sensitive target data.

Area

Native analysis or decompilation

Observed behavior

inspect_recorded_crash results contain neither the binary name of each usedImages row nor the symbolLocation of each frame, although ReportCrash records both and docs/apple-ips.md says documented body fields are reproduced. They are also absent from unlisted_keys. A symbolicated frame reports __pthread_kill without its + 8.

Reproduction

Ran on Linux (WSL Ubuntu, Node 24.22.1) at upstream/main 4ed33efb0, through the IPS parser in a test, with the repository's ReportCrash-shaped fixture (tests/fixtures/binaryDiagnostics/appleIps.ts, which contains "name": "rea-crash-fixture" and "symbolLocation": 12): neither value appears anywhere in the parsed result.

Expected behavior

Each image reports its recorded name, and each frame its recorded symbolLocation offset.

Impact and scope

Agents lose the offset that distinguishes return sites inside one function and the plain binary name of each image.

REA version

6.7.0, revision 4ed33efb0

Runtime and platform

Linux (WSL Ubuntu), Node 24.22.1

Target and artifact context

The repository's synthetic ReportCrash-shaped .ips fixture.

Interface

MCP

Earliest failure stage

Artifact or evidence registration

Relevant output or evidence

Root cause and fix are in #7059, with the regression test.

Typed outcome or recovery expected

No new error.

Analysis or suspected cause

Root cause and fix are in #7059.

Additional context

Fixed by #7059.
