I searched the open and closed issues for a related report.
I removed credentials, tokens, private paths, and sensitive target data.

Observed behavior

analyze_javascript_application reports fork("worker.js", { silent: true }) with child-process stdio_mode: "default" (inherited streams). Node pipes the child's stdin, stdout and stderr to the parent when silent is true.

Reproduction

Ran on Linux (WSL Ubuntu, Node 24.22.1) at upstream/main 0a2b7af90, through the JavaScript semantic analysis in a test on import { fork } from "node:child_process"; fork("piped.js", { silent: true });: stdioMode is default.

Expected behavior

stdio_mode is pipe, as Node's fork documents for silent: true.

Impact and scope

Analysts reading the child-process graph see a worker's output as going to the terminal when it is actually captured by the parent.
