Summary

Add configurable resource limits and early timeouts for JavaScript / Electron semantic analysis to prevent heap exhaustion on large bundles (related to open issue #1563).

Motivation

Public reproducers show semantic analysis can exhaust memory on sizable JS packages. Providing hard limits and graceful degradation would make the tool more robust for real-world targets.

Proposed changes

  • Add --max-heap / --analysis-timeout flags.
  • Instrument the JS analysis path to check memory / time periodically.
  • Return partial results with an explicit limitation note when limits are hit.
  • Document the new controls and default safe values.

This complements existing work on the heap exhaustion issue.

Contribution proposal.
