📄 Description

Summary

Adds a repository-local, opt-in integration for the vendored ECC engineering harness while keeping REA authoritative.

Changes

  • adds ECC as a pinned submodule at third_party/ecc (v2.2.3, commit c05b2d6614f62f6db0047669aa4eefb223d478f9)
  • adds .agents/skills/ecc-bridge/SKILL.md for selective, on-demand ECC capability use
  • adds docs/ECC_INTEGRATION.md describing authority, safety boundaries, update/rollback procedure, and validation criteria
  • does not enable ECC hooks, installers, plugins, MCP integrations, or runtime dependencies

Validation

  • git diff --cached --check — pass
  • npm ci — pass, 0 reported vulnerabilities for the install
  • matching rea-agents@6.7.0 Windows native artifact restored from the published tarball and scripts/verify-windows-native-artifact.mjs returned ok: true
  • npm run docs:check — pass with exit code 0
    • 6/6 documentation tasks successful
    • 1/1 test file passed
    • 5/5 README consistency tests passed
  • push precheck (precheck:fast) — 2/2 tasks successful
  • bridge validation: discovered and used only third_party/ecc/skills/security-review/SKILL.md for an advisory review task without recursively loading the ECC corpus or enabling executable ECC surfaces

Scope / safety

REA remains the source of truth. ECC is advisory and selectively loaded. The integration commit does not change REA runtime source, root package scripts, hook configuration, or MCP configuration.

Executable ECC surfaces remain disabled unless separately reviewed and intentionally enabled.
