Summary

Superseded by upstream commit c4aaf813, which already fixes #5258 and includes broader selected-path regression coverage.

The duplicate CLI test identified in review was removed from the source branch in d575fad. The branch tree now matches upstream base 909b9f7 exactly. There is no remaining change to merge.

Validation

git diff --exit-code 909b9f7 HEAD — passed; identical trees.
Pre-commit formatting and lint — passed.
Pre-push npm run check:fast — type checking and lint passed.
No runtime tests rerun for removal of duplicate coverage.

The PR was already closed before this cleanup.
