📄 Description

Summary

The Android skill names the heap setting but gives no budgeted large-APK example. It also leaves agents using direct headless JADX without guidance on limiting preprocessing. Add one conditional section with a scoped CLI heap example and the direct 0.7.1 load_apk prefix recipe.

Evidence and validation

  • Reviewed retained diagnostics from a 105,453-class APK: an observed 2 GiB heap exhausted; loading completed with a 6144 MiB heap cap. The later exact-class lookup still required a valid selector. No private sample, paths, or logs are attached.
  • Checked the JSON example against the saved 0.7.1 tools/list schema and a successful prefix-scoped direct load. include_packages is a comma-separated string and is not a REA Android tool argument.
  • Compared the heap example with docs/android-analysis.md; reviewed the diff and ran git diff --check successfully.
  • No APK was rerun and no runtime or package tests were run for this prose-only change. No performance measurements or universal heap sizing claim.

Related: #3517 already addresses typed heap diagnostics. This change improves the skill's practical recovery guidance rather than changing that implementation.

Contract and boundary impact

Documentation only; no target interaction, CLI/MCP schema change, provider upgrade, new capability, configuration write, or generated output. Existing ordinary APK instructions and evidence limitations remain. Heap sizing requires available host/container memory plus native-memory headroom. Prefix filtering limits coverage and is documented as such. Maintainer capability scope decision: not applicable.

Author readiness

Human owner: @Tsury

  • I reviewed the final diff and relevant existing code, understand the change and its edge cases, and take responsibility for the complete PR, including AI-assisted work.
  • I checked the evidence above, confirmed it supports the current change, and recorded meaningful validation gaps.
  • I declare this PR ready for initial maintainer review.

Prepared with AI assistance. This PR remains a draft; human readiness declarations are left for the owner.
