Hi.
Thank for the driver and work.

Can confirm this is working on my machine, Dell Precision 5770, Ububtu 25.04 using the NetGear, Inc. Nighthawk A7000 802.11ac Wireless Adapter AC1900 [Realtek 8814AU] USB Adapter via a Dell Thunderbolt Dock WD19TBS as at 20250908.

Only thing extra, besides rebooting, was to unseat and reseat the adapter from its stand/dock, unplugging and repluggin the usb on the dock or laptop did not work.

Hi @Sysdevcode

NetGear, Inc. Nighthawk A7000 802.11ac Wireless Adapter AC1900 [Realtek 8814AU] USB Adapter

Glad to hear your adapter is working but it is not working because of the driver in this repo as this driver supports the rtl8812au chip. If your rtl8814au based adapter is working, then it is likely because you are using kernel 6.16 which has a built in driver that is standards compliant.

You can test by uninstalling this driver:

$ sudo sh remove-driver.sh

$ sudo reboot (or let the script do the reboot)

To confirm your driver, post the results of the following command:

$ sudo dmesg | grep rtw88

I have been looking for users with the A7000 adapter as I would like to add some more AC1900 adapters to The Pkug and Play List. If you like your adapter and it works well with the in-kernel driver, nominate it to go in The Plug and Play List:

That is the Main Menu for this site. Scroll down to The Plug and Play List and take a look.
