Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/open-webui/computer/issues/318
Computer’s chat displays LaTeX as plain text, making mathematical conversations difficult to read.
I implemented support for standard inline/display delimiters and fenced math blocks using the existing KaTeX dependency. It works in both Claude and Codex chats; regression tests and the production build pass.

🟣 #141 bug: Chat bubble displays HTML-encoded special characters and raw markdown instead of rendered output
This is the closest match: it reports chat bubbles rendering raw markdown instead of formatted output. While it focuses on code fences and HTML encoding rather than LaTeX, the underlying problem is the same class of chat rendering bug.

🟢 #247 feat: HTML file cards should render inline in chat like the Markdown preview
This is related at the chat-display layer because it requests richer inline rendering for content shown in chat. It is not about math specifically, but it touches the same UI area where message content is rendered.
