Hello,

I discovered a bug with the browser tools (browser_navigate, browser_snapshot, browser_screenshot, etc.). After the first successful use of any browser tool, all subsequent calls fail with the error:

Error executing browser_navigate: no close frame received or sent

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start the CDP server (Chromium with --remote-debugging-port=9222)
  2. Call any browser tool (e.g., browser_navigate to https://example.com/)
  3. First call works correctly
  4. Call any browser tool again
  5. Error occurs: "no close frame received or sent"

The issue appears to be in the cptr browser client. The WebSocket connection to the CDP server is not closed properly after the first use. The CDP server sends no "close frame", which causes a keepalive ping timeout.

Thank you again for your work and I wish you all a great day,
Joshua Krimmer

⚠️ Missing Issue Title Prefix

@JKGeovision, your issue title is missing a categorising prefix (e.g. bug:, feat:, docs:).

  • bug: bug report or error
  • feat: feature request or enhancement
  • docs: documentation issue
  • question: usage question
  • help: support request

Example: bug: Login fails when the password contains special characters

I tested the changes and the issue is fixed. Repeated browser tool calls now work 🎆️
