Hello,

The latest version has made the application borders significantly less pronounced, making it extremely difficult to discern where one layout section begins and ends since the entire application shares a single background color.

Image

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Update to the newest version of the application
  2. Observe the layout sections and their boundaries
  3. Notice that borders are no longer clearly visible against the uniform background color

Expected behavior:

Layout sections should be visually distinguishable from one another, either through clear borders or contrasting section colors.

Suggested fix:

  • Revert the border styling change from the previous version, or
  • Apply different, easily discernible background colors to separate layout sections

Thank you for your time,
Joshua Krimmer

  1. 🟣 #91 Desktop UX: contrast, scaling, and git worktree discovery
This issue explicitly reports missing contrast in the dark theme and says that clearer borders or a lighter surface color would help differentiate layout elements. That is the same visual problem described in #151: borders becoming too subtle and sections hard to distinguish.

Border contrast is not configurable!
