I don't get this app. It's suppose to be a desktop version but it's not working for me.
I have all green, Open WebUI, Open Terminal and llama.cpp
I make a connection, the right side show a spinning circle for a very small fraction of a second then nothing, just black.
And I know it's working because if I click the 3 dots to my connection and select Open in Browser then I see the loaded model, the chat box everything is there, but in the app, nope
Can't even open the default Open WebUI too, same thing only works when I use Open is Browser.
That ain't working

edit:
I was able to get to work. Downloaded the repo, got the the AI to fix it. But there's no CUDA support which is not good. I'm not running a 30B model on CPU. So I have to run my llama-server, copy the URL in a new connection, then it works. But it's too much of a pain. I'll keep using my offline Python on.

Same for me on Ubuntu. Seems to be the same issue as #215

yeah, version 0.0.20 was suppose to address this issue but still not working. But I'm on X11. I might try to download the repo and fix it myself. It's been a while and there's no replies on much of the issues here from them anyway...

Update: it works with the .flatpak version, but not the .deb version. And the .AppImage won't install at all:

$ ./open-webui_x86_64.AppImage
[272778:0725/202537.189149:FATAL:sandbox/linux/suid/client/setuid_sandbox_host.cc:166] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /tmp/.mount_open-wHDHaNJ/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

(I'm also on x11)

I'm on Mint Cinnamon too and can't get the either the Flatpak or the .deb to work unless I pass --disable-gpu --no-sandbox.

I'm on CachyOS and I'm getting the same issue - main program window is blank, but I can open the local running instance in Firefox/Brave etc. and all is well

EDIT: if I run the AppImage version in the terminal I get this spam:

[637788:0801/182358.594287:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:217] Unable to access(W_OK|X_OK) /tmp: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594320:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:214] Creating shared memory in /tmp/.org.chromium.Chromium.nyFx3Q failed: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594342:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:217] Unable to access(W_OK|X_OK) /tmp: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594375:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:214] Creating shared memory in /tmp/.org.chromium.Chromium.CBZpVa failed: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594402:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:217] Unable to access(W_OK|X_OK) /tmp: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594435:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:214] Creating shared memory in /tmp/.org.chromium.Chromium.kZAqIk failed: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594458:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:217] Unable to access(W_OK|X_OK) /tmp: No such process (3) [637788:0801/182358.594527:ERROR:base/memory/platform_shared_memory_region_posix.cc:214] Creating shared memory in /tmp/.org.chromium.Chromium.k5P4yk failed: No such process (3)

I can also confirm that @iamcolbyrobertson 's workaround works on my machine and the spam above disappears
