📄 Description

Summary

I compared the Models, Knowledge, Prompts and Skills pages with the routers, the workspace editors and the skill injection code on dev.

  • Models: system variables must be written without spaces inside the braces ({{USER_NAME}}), the builtin tool categories list is the full sixteen with the UI names, stop sequences are one comma-separated field, the menu entries are Hide Model / Show Model and Hide from Sidebar / Keep in Sidebar, Copy Link copies a new-chat URL, and the field is Base Model (From).
  • Knowledge: a model-attached knowledge base is only injected in legacy function calling mode, even in Full Context; the tool's result cap is its own count argument; the menu entries are New directory and Sync directory; the delete dialog has one checkbox.
  • Prompts: there is no side-by-side compare view, USER_LOCATION asks the browser directly, and USER_GROUPS only resolves in system prompts and task templates.
  • Skills: with native function calling the manifest lists every readable skill (binding only pre-selects), toggled skills are manifest-only there while $ mentions inject full content, legacy mode injects everything in full, view_skill takes the id, Clone appends _clone, import and export live in the Create split button, and the permission labels are Skills Sharing and Skills Public Sharing.

None.

Checklist

  • I have reviewed the relevant documentation and matched the existing style.
  • This PR meets Open WebUI's contribution standards: it is accurate, relevant to users, narrowly scoped, maintainable, and not promotional content, advertising, lead generation, SEO placement, or a request to list a product, service, provider, integration, gateway, tool, or company primarily for visibility.
  • I understand that PRs that do not meet these standards may be closed without review and will not be merged. Repeated, low-quality, off-topic, promotional, or intentionally misleading submissions may result in the contributor being blocked from future participation in Open WebUI repositories.

Notes for reviewers

Sources on dev: utils/task.py for the exact placeholder keys, BuiltinTools.svelte, ModelMenu.svelte, ModelEditor.svelte, the skill block in utils/middleware.py, the model-knowledge branch there, tools/builtin.py, AddContentMenu.svelte, Skills.svelte and Permissions.svelte.
