Description
In Open WebUI v0.12.3, when an administrator views another user’s completed conversation through the Admin Panel, scrolling up repeatedly jumps back to the bottom. This makes it difficult to read older messages.
Steps to reproduce
Expected behavior
The conversation should preserve the reading position while scrolling upward and loading older messages.
Actual behavior
The view repeatedly jumps back to the bottom, even though the conversation is no longer generating a response.
Additional findings
We reproduced the issue locally using a completed conversation belonging to a separate, non-admin account. The browser repeatedly requested /api/v1/chats/share/{id} while the conversation was open.
A local workaround that prevents the read-only conversation loader from reloading the same conversation on reactive history updates stopped the repeated requests and preserved scrolling.
