Problem Description
I'm unable to use mpc resources through mcpo (connected to open-webui)
Desired Solution you'd like
open-webui recognizes mcp resources as well along with mcp tools.
Alternatives Considered
No response
Additional Context
I have created an mcp server using fastmcp. It has a few tools and also one resource which serves a base64 encoded image in markdown format. When I try to get this resource, open-webui does not recognize that there is a resource available. If I try to convert this to a tool, open-webui does recognize it, however, tries to interpret the output from the tool and messes up the image.
I have tried using this with both the default function calling and native function calling models.
I believe, #64 could be solved if this is implemented

@dheerapat commented on GitHub (May 24, 2025):
here what it gonna look like
@dheerapat commented on GitHub (May 24, 2025):
do we have to adjust UI to accept
resourcespath@dheerapat commented on GitHub (May 25, 2025):
ahhh I think I misunderstood what is the mcp resource, after consulting the document, I have to re implement this.
Essentially mcpo is just a client of mcp server and proxy request to openwebui
