Originally created by @JTHesse on GitHub (Jun 3, 2026).
Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/open-webui/oikb/issues/15

Based on the docker example, the config file should be mounted in the /app folder:

docker run -d \
  -e OPEN_WEBUI_URL=http://open-webui:8080 \
  -e OPEN_WEBUI_API_KEY=sk-... \
  -e OIKB_API_KEY=your-daemon-key \
  -e LOG_FORMAT=json \
  -v ./.oikb.yaml:/app/.oikb.yaml:ro \
  -p 8080:8080 \
  ghcr.io/open-webui/oikb:latest daemon

However, the .oikb.yaml can not be found as the working directory is /data as defined in the Dockerfile: WORKDIR /data

Either the Dockerfile or the docker examples needs to be changed.

yes, I meet the seem problem.

The container just said No sync entries found. Create a .oikb.yaml file.

But I actually created this file...

This seems to be the same problem as #43

Yup. I made that post.

For anyone with this issue, just modify your docker-compose.yaml file just slightly. Just replace app in the original example with data.

    volumes:
      - ./oikb.yaml:/app/.oikb.yaml:ro # This line is the original and doesn't work. Remove it.
      - ./oikb.yaml:/data/.oikb.yaml:ro # This works correctly.

Indeed! It was immensely helpful. Thank you, @zyberwoof. Just saw the overlap/duplication and figured I'd link the issues.
