I really like the concept of open terminal and would like to use it for multiple users with thier own enviorment
right now, it seems like this operator is not a non-root ready and i cant figure out how to deploy it on openshift

would really help if there was any documentation on how to deploy

also a part where it used a pgsql is now gone - no db needed anymore?

thanks for all the hard work!

@perttulaurila commented on GitHub (Oct 8, 2026):

I am deploying Open-WebUI using the helm chart (16.0.0) which has a subchart for deploying the Terminals operator and orchestrator. Enabling the subchart works but the orchestrator container fails to start because it wants to write to /usr/local/lib/python3.12/site-packages/data

There is to be OpenShift specific documentation page: https://github.com/open-webui/terminals/blob/main/docs/openshift.md

However, that page refers to a non-existing image tag:
ghcr.io/open-webui/open-terminal:openshift
