📄 Description

Title: kb: Mario Kart 64 — BattleTanx tanks and a ruined-city track in SpaghettiKart

Adds a field note for a SpaghettiKart (Mario Kart 64 PC port) mod built entirely on an Apple Silicon Mac:

  • all eight racers replaced by BattleTanx-style tank sprites rendered from the official Kart Setup rig (321 frames each);
  • a custom "BattleTanx City" track built and exported headlessly with the Harbour Masters fast64 fork;
  • a title/item-icon texture reskin, packaged as one .o2r.

The note documents what was not in the docs: the textures/-prefixed override layout (the prefix-less layout does not load), per-character UI resource names, the placeholder scene.json the game writes and which props to edit, launching custom tracks through the gEnableDebugMode CVar, and the fast64 material recipe (lighting off, fog render mode, explicit tile size, white vertex colours) plus the face-winding and ground-offset fixes needed for the road to render and collide.

No game files, decompiled code or BattleTanx assets are included; um kb check --index and um publish check pass.
