📄 Description

A field note for Digimon World 3 (PS1, USA): the matching decompilation compiled natively for Windows on the Digimon World 2 port's PC layer, reading the user's own disc (CHD included).

What it covers:

  • route and setup (decomp-recomp, 32-bit to keep PS1 struct layouts, stage symbol prefixing, overlay data reset);
  • real 90/120/240 Hz game logic: converted tasks evaluate their display at the tick's fraction, the rest are kept and replayed; how it was verified (deterministic --control replays, 60 Hz byte-identical, per-tick screenshots, a survey of all 239 field modes);
  • sub-pixel 2D in the HD renderer;
  • an SDXL + tile ControlNet ground texture pack made on a local SwarmUI;
  • nine gotchas, including a PGXP out-of-bounds read that GCC 16 turned into a heap overrun at 240 Hz.

No game files, extracted assets or decompiled code are included. um kb check --index and um publish check . pass.
