📄 Description

Describe the app as a standalone product and remove the README references to its starter project. Simplify the license section while retaining the existing license files and third-party notices.

Validation: npm test passes (unit tests and TypeScript); README relative links and git diff --check pass.

The GPL-to-MIT change is not included pending confirmation of permission to relicense the adapted components.
