Hello, @mayjack0312! I'm here to assist you with any bugs or questions you have.
For configuring the storage path for models in ComfyUI, you should edit the
extra_models_config.yamlfile located in%APPDATA%\ComfyUI(typicallyC:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\ComfyUI). Specify your desired paths for different model types in this file. Note that some models may still be downloaded to the root installation folder due to a known limitation [1].Regarding the GitHub proxy settings and the failed Git clone operation with exit code 128, I couldn't find specific information on setting up a GitHub proxy in ComfyUI. However, common causes for a Git clone operation failing with exit code 128 include network issues, incorrect repository URLs, or authentication problems. Ensure that your network settings allow Git operations and that the repository URL is correct. You might also want to check if there are any proxy settings in your network configuration that need to be adjusted.

Update: What should I do if I have multiple paths? Do I use "" to enclose the individual paths and then separate them with a comma? I tried two variables, but it seems to report an error.

@dosubot[bot] commented on GitHub (Mar 10, 2025):
To specify multiple paths in the
extra_models_config.yamlfile for ComfyUI, you should define different sections with their respective paths, rather than using commas to separate paths within a single key. Here's an example of how you can structure the file:Each section (e.g.,
comfyui_desktop,comfyui_migration) can have its own set of paths and configurations. Ensure that each key is unique within its section to avoid parsing errors [1].To continue talking to Dosu, mention @dosu.

Yeah I think adding a new top level key would be the simplest. Like the example above^
@pto2k commented on GitHub (Apr 17, 2025):
Tried above example to point the app to my exsiting model folder.
The models are listed on the model panel on the left, however, I still don't have them listed in the Load Checkpoint node.
I do not understand why the important model path can not be configured from the settings menu in the app. It's more important than many other settings.
