Summary
The
--index-urlflag in uv has been deprecated and replaced with--default-index. The uv documentation explicitly marks this as "(Deprecated: use--default-indexinstead)".Context
When using uv for Python package management, the
--index-urloption that was previously used to specify a custom package index URL has been deprecated. The new flag--default-indexshould be used instead for better alignment with uv's modern index management system.Similarly,
--extra-index-urlis deprecated in favor of--index.Impact
Any code or scripts in the ComfyUI Desktop codebase that currently use
--index-urlwith uv commands should be updated to use--default-indexto ensure compatibility with future versions of uv.Migration Examples
Before (deprecated):
After (recommended):
Action Required
--index-urlwith uv commands--default-indexinstead--extra-index-urland update to--indexpyproject.tomlconfiguration for more complex index setupsReferences
