Hi @ne7359! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the desktop team.
This error happens because the ModelPatchLoader node is trying to use a local variable model before it has been assigned a value. This usually means something went wrong earlier in the node's logic—often due to missing or invalid inputs, a failed model load, or a dependency problem.
The ModelPatchLoader node and its code (nodes_model_patch.py) aren't part of the main ComfyUI desktop repo, so this is almost certainly a custom node issue. On macOS, these problems are often caused by missing dependencies, virtual environment issues, or hardware acceleration incompatibilities (like MPS/CoreML) [source].
Here’s what you can do:
Also, check comfyui.log and main.log for more details—they might point to a missing dependency or another root cause.
