📄 Description

What this PR adds

This PR adds a bilingual integration guide for Deep Copilot — an open-source AI coding agent embedded directly in VS Code, powered by DeepSeek V4 via the OpenAI-compatible API.

Files changed

File Change
docs/deepcopilot.md New: English guide
docs/deepcopilot.zh-CN.md New: Simplified Chinese guide
README.md Added table entry in alphabetical order (after Deep Code)
README.zh-CN.md Same

Review checklist

  • Model names use current names: deepseek-v4-pro / deepseek-v4-flash (no legacy deepseek-chat)
  • 1M context window: both models' 1M token support is documented; auto-compaction behaviour described
  • Max thinking effort: deepseek-v4-pro runs extended thinking by default; reasoning steps surface in a collapsible expander; no workarounds that degrade model performance
  • Pricing not included: Deep Copilot does not expose a pricing config field, so no pricing table is added
  • Config fields verified: all deepseekAgent.* settings in the guide are tested and working
  • No workarounds for already-fixed upstream bugs
  • Both EN and ZH guides submitted in a single PR
  • README table entry inserted in alphabetical order (between Deep Code and Hermes)
  • One tool per PR

Notable design points (for reviewer context)

Skill hot-plug - Skills are plain Markdown files in ~/.deepcopilot/skills/, also compatible with ~/.claude/skills/ and ~/.copilot/skills/. Discovered at runtime with no extension reload. Injected as synthetic read_file tool-call + result pairs before the user message (not as user text or system-prompt additions), which produces more reliable instruction-following and matches the mechanism used by GitHub Copilot internally.

Context-cache-aware system prompt - Split at a __DYNAMIC_BOUNDARY__ marker. Static half (principles, tool rules) is eligible for DeepSeek context cache. Dynamic half (OS, workspace instructions, user memory) is recomputed each turn.

web_fetch tool - Fetches any public URL with SSRF protection (private IP blocking), cross-host redirect blocking, 2 MB size cap, and automatic HTTP to HTTPS upgrade.

Per-workspace tool hooks - .deepcopilot/hooks.json wires shell commands to tool events. Hook output is injected back into model context for self-correction.

Thank you for maintaining this resource. I am happy to revise anything that does not meet the guide standards.
