📄 Description

Troubleshooting entry for the auto-review failure DeepSeek users hit with Codex (The supported API model names are ..., but you passed codex-auto-review):

  • set "auto_review_model_override" to the model id Codex actually uses, in every entry of the generated models_catalog.json;
  • desktop app only: run codex app-server daemon restart after that. The daemon reads the catalog once at startup, so restarting the app doesn't reload it.

Both the English and the zh-CN guides are updated, per CONTRIBUTING.md. I hit this on macOS with Codex + DeepSeek, and with the override plus the daemon restart, auto-review approves escalations again.

Codex doesn't take external PRs, so the root cause went into issues openai/codex#31255 and openai/codex#47917.
