(Using PrismLauncher app).
Using ghcr.io/games-on-whales/prismlauncher:edge

The shift and ctrl key is correctly when using things like shortcuts or upper case letters, Minecraft can even normally bind it in controls menu but in the game itself, it is not working.

I can confirm this same bug in a completely different context — Wolf streaming a custom Wine + XFCE app (not Minecraft/PrismLauncher), running Dungeons & Dragons Online (a DirectX9/DirectInput game via Wine, not Java/LWJGL like Minecraft). Same symptom: Shift/Ctrl register fine for binding/menus, but don't function during actual play.

Two additional data points that might help narrow it down:

  1. It's not limited to user-rebindable keybinds — Ctrl+click to select a custom item quantity (a hardcoded engine interaction, not a configurable keybind at all) also fails to trigger. That rules out per-app keybind config as the cause and points at the modifier state not being
    delivered/recognized at a lower level.
  2. Same behavior on two very different game engines/input models (Minecraft/LWJGL polling vs. DDO/DirectInput-via-Wine polling) — both are "poll current key state" models rather than discrete event-callback models, which might be a relevant common thread.
  3. Tested with Wolf upgraded to the latest stable (built 2026-07-02) — issue persists, so it's not something already fixed in recent builds.

Happy to grab logs/traces from the Wolf side if that's useful for narrowing down whether this is in inputtino's event injection or somewhere else in the pipeline.

Also I have to add that somehow using Lutris to launch prism launcher solves the issue.
