Summary

A clean clone cannot build the package: the root .gitignore rule resources/ (Hugo's cache) also ignores packages/kvcache-simulator/src/kvcache_sim/resources/, so the bundled models.yaml and C++ core were never committed. After pip install ./packages/kvcache-simulator, kvcache-simulator list-models fails with No module named 'kvcache_sim.resources'. The batch core the cpp backend runs (--policy batch --capacities ...) existed only inside the 0.1.2 wheel; scripts/kv-cache-lab-native-sim.cc is the single-budget core of the precompute pipeline. calculator.py already carries Kimi K3, unreleased.
