Problem

Some CLI workflows consume a JSON request document from a file. In pipelines, users must create a temporary file even when the request is already available from another command or generated dynamically.

Proposed change

For CLI commands whose input is a structured JSON request document, allow - to mean stdin. This should initially apply only to request/config documents, not to arbitrary binary targets or commands that require stable file identity.

Acceptance criteria

  • The behavior is documented per command; unsupported commands reject - with an actionable message.
  • Stdin is read once with the existing size limits and schema validation applied.
  • Errors identify invalid JSON or schema paths without printing the full supplied payload.
  • File-path input continues to behave exactly as before.
  • Tests cover empty stdin, malformed JSON, oversized input, and a valid piped request.

This is a pipeline usability enhancement, not a current input-handling bug report.
