My local OWUI instance can be reached without any problem in the browser but is not reachable with the app:

I can connect using the local IP address and port in the app but since it is configured for https alot of elements are broken.
Is there a way I can debug this to see what is happening?

are you using a self signed SSL certificate?
i also had this problem, i implemented a workaround, which i could share later

What was the workaround? I'm surprised this isn't using the system's certificate store for trusted root CAs.

I added a temporary fix in #113, although i would not recommend this as a final solution. I
hope that with a correctly signed electron app, it has access to the systems certificate store.

I'm also having troubles with HTTPS with the desktop app, also using self signed SSL. I have connection to OWU server where all models list an everything, only issue is that using HTTPS, I never get POST /api/chat/completions so chat is empty. Local network with the app has no problems or HTTPS through browser.

I have same problem on Windows 11. I use Cloudflare DNS and tunnel for my OpenWebUI server

I am also having a problem connecting to my local instance. I use ZeroSSL certs. I get the immediate could not reach server. Let me know if there are any logs or something I can give to help resolve the issue.

We're also experiencing issues with self-signed CA certificates.

This is likely addressed in the latest release, could anyone confirm?
