Check Existing Issues

  • I have searched the existing issues and discussions.
  • I am using the latest version of mcpo.

mcpo Version

0.0.9

Open WebUI Version (if applicable)

0.62

Operating System

Ubuntu 22.04

Browser (if applicable)

Safari

Confirmation

  • I have read and followed all instructions in README.md.
  • I am using the latest version of both MCPO and Open WebUI.
  • I have included the browser console logs.
  • I have included the Docker container logs.
  • I have listed steps to reproduce the bug in detail.

Expected Behavior

Openwebui should be able to use tools from mcpo that are on the same network but not on the same host.

Actual Behavior

Unfortunately, open webui does not seem to see tools that are not under 0.0.0.0:8000 and does not attempt to use the tools at all.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. up the open webui and mcpo

  2. in webui "Search confluence for xxx using the tools"

Logs & Screenshots

I am running mcpo and open webui in docker containers, both are on the same network and apparently able to communicate as open webui shows:

When i look at the openapi

Image

I see that the sub api's are expected at 0.0.0.0 which likely wont work within dockers own networks.

Yes, that does work.
Are we not supposed to add all at once?
