I refer to this snippet in the docker-compose.yaml and README.md

    healthcheck:
      test: ["CMD", "curl", "-f", "http://localhost:8080/health/ready"]

For me this healthcheck always fails, since the container does not provider curl (or wget).
Currently I just removed the healthcheck as a fix.

Would be good to at least fix the recommended docker-compose.yaml in the documentation (together with chaning /app > /data as suggested in https://github.com/open-webui/oikb/issues/43)

Another alternative without further dependencies:

healthcheck:
      test: [ "CMD-SHELL", 'python -c "import urllib.request; urllib.request.urlopen(''http://localhost:8080/health/ready'')"' ]
<!-- gh-comment-id:5019797152 --> @hexsm commented on GitHub (Jul 20, 2026): Another alternative without further dependencies: ``` healthcheck: test: [ "CMD-SHELL", 'python -c "import urllib.request; urllib.request.urlopen(''http://localhost:8080/health/ready'')"' ] ```

This one works even better than the one with wget, thanks.
