📄 Description

Follow-up to the merged #129 and #134. These are the wording items that did not make it into the merged copies; nothing else changed.

Detroit: Become Human (#129)

  • Item 1 (is the add-on public?). It is: mods/139, credited as Detroit Blender Addon by TheLeonX. So it is not marked "(unpublished)" and the credit stays. The citations in the merged note are module names only (segs.py, cloth_route.py, …), never segs.py:NNN line numbers, so that half of the ask was already satisfied.
  • Item 2. The sentence now reads exactly "The add-on's source says its decoder follows the game's v41 reader (0x140296B40); not re-checked in the exe here (native.py)". The flag-1 detail is not dropped — it moves to the verification list, where it is already labelled as read from the add-on's source rather than checked against the exe.
  • Items 3, 4. humans: ["Selene0623"], TheLeonX credited in the body, and game_version: already ends "build not pinned" — left as they are.

ForzaTech burG (#134)

  • Items 1, 5, 6, 7. Already correct in the merged note, so untouched: the tag table says lekS; "where a modern parser succeeds" is gone; the heading is "Why the _f build finds nothing in two FH3 tyre files"; gotcha 8 and the rea link are absent; D3FEKT/ForzaTechStudio is not linked.
  • Item 3. The magic is now given both ways — ASCII burG and the little-endian u32 0x47727562, the BundleTag Nenkai's ForzaTools names.
  • Item 7, done differently. Instead of linking that repo, the note explains the logic that makes it worth knowing: open container/blob parsing, then P/Invokes into XMem/LZX (XMemCreateDecompressionContext / XMemDecompress, codec id 1), the Xbox texture tilings (XG_TILE_MODE_2D_THIN / 1D_THIN) and Granny for animation. That split is precisely why an MIT project can still ship proprietary binaries, and swapping those three for open codecs is all an open-source-only build needs. For the archive layer the note adds the open route: the QuickBMS script forza_horizon.bms (ships with Forza Studio), which maps compression method 0 stored / 8 deflate / 13/15/21 XMem/LZX onto QuickBMS's built-in XMemDecompress, so it needs no proprietary DLL.
  • Item 8 (provenance). Added: the 53-file FH3 sample tree was exported from the note author's own Windows install back when the game first became moddable, before switching to Linux; the game is owned on the Microsoft Store, was delisted in 2020, and cannot be re-exported on Linux now. No game files are shipped with the note.

Gate: um kb index · um kb check --index PASS 128 notes · uv run --with pytest pytest -q tests 76 passed, 1 skipped · um publish check . 437 files, 0 failures, 2 warnings (both pre-existing, absolute user paths in unrelated notes).
