I'm not sure if this is a noob question, as this is my first time attempting to mod a game.
I try the gemini.cmd extensions install https://github.com/rehan-remade/universal-modder command to install it and I get this error:
gemini.cmd extensions install https://github.com/rehan-remade/universal-modder Failed to clone Git repository from https://github.com/rehan-remade/universal-modder Error: spawn git ENOENT at ChildProcess._handle.onexit (node:internal/child_process:287:19) at onErrorNT (node:internal/child_process:525:16) at process.processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:90:21)I had to change the command from "gemini" to "gemini.cmd", as ChatGPT pointed out, since somehow the normal method did not work.
@rehan-remade commented on GitHub (Oct 6, 2026):
Not a noob question at all.
spawn git ENOENTmeans Gemini CLI couldn't find Git.extensions installclones the repo withgit, and Git isn't installed, or isn't on PATH.winget install --id Git.Git -ein a terminal.git --versionshould now print a version.About
gemini.cmd: npm also installs agemini.ps1launcher, and PowerShell refuses to run it while script execution is disabled, which is the Windows default.gemini.cmdis the same CLI without that launcher, so keep using it, or rungeminifrom Command Prompt instead.The README now lists Git under the requirements as well (#113). If the install still fails after this, paste the new error here.
@rehan-remade commented on GitHub (Oct 10, 2026):
Closing, since this has been answered above. If you get stuck trying it, open a new issue with the game, what you tried and the last error.
