Issue

  • Disabling custom nodes is often the first step in troubleshooting.
  • The desktop app itself lacks a simple method to do this.
  • An extension that causes ComfyUI server start to fail blocks access to in-app methods that can assist with this.

Solution

  • Soft pre-req: #683
  • Add disable custom nodes to maintenance tasks

Hi, @webfiltered. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the desktop team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You suggested adding a feature to disable custom nodes in the desktop app.
  • This feature is crucial for troubleshooting when extensions cause server failures.
  • Currently, there are no in-app methods to handle such issues.
  • The proposed solution involves integrating this feature into maintenance tasks.
  • Resolution of issue #683 is a soft prerequisite for this feature.
