ComfyUI Desktop version: 0.22.3
OS: Windows 11
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 (24GB VRAM)
Python: 3.12.11

Expected Behavior

Expected behavior:
Images and videos can be dragged and dropped onto the canvas as in previous versions.

Actual Behavior

Description:
Dragging and dropping images or videos directly onto the ComfyUI canvas no longer works. It used to work fine in previous versions.

Root cause identified:
Every startup, the following deprecation warnings appear in the logs, even with ALL custom nodes disabled:

These warnings appear ~2 seconds after server start, before any custom node frontend code loads. This confirms the deprecated API imports originate from the desktop app frontend itself (web_custom_versions/desktop_app), not from any custom node.

Additionally, ComfyUI-Manager reports on every startup:

[ComfyUI-Manager] Skipped fixing the 'comfyui-frontend-package' dependency because the ComfyUI is outdated.

This prevents Manager from patching the frontend package automatically.

What was tried:

Disabled all custom nodes → warnings persist, drag & drop still broken
Manually upgraded comfyui-frontend-package to 1.45.14 via pip → no effect (Desktop ignores the pip package and uses its own hardcoded desktop_app folder)
Checked for app updates via the launcher → "No update found"
git pull is not possible as the Desktop install is a binary package with no .git directory

Workaround:
Currently using Load Image nodes and manual file selection as a workaround.

This confirms the deprecated API imports originate from the **desktop app frontend itself** (`web_custom_versions/desktop_app`), not from any custom node. Additionally, ComfyUI-Manager reports on every startup: ``` [ComfyUI-Manager] Skipped fixing the 'comfyui-frontend-package' dependency because the ComfyUI is outdated. ``` This prevents Manager from patching the frontend package automatically. **What was tried:** - Disabled all custom nodes → warnings persist, drag & drop still broken - Manually upgraded `comfyui-frontend-package` to 1.45.14 via pip → no effect (Desktop ignores the pip package and uses its own hardcoded `desktop_app` folder) - Checked for app updates via the launcher → "No update found" - `git pull` is not possible as the Desktop install is a binary package with no `.git` directory **Workaround:** Currently using Load Image nodes and manual file selection as a workaround.
