Summary

This is a rollup PR that merges the following open PRs into a single branch to avoid the rebase cascade caused by Require branches to be up to date before merging:

Merge details

The rollup was created by merging each PR branch into rollup/batch-fixes from origin/main.
Two conflicts were resolved manually:
- vitest.config.ts (#231) - kept #232's project config and added #231's coverage directory.
- scripts/verify-package.mjs (#228 and #215) - kept #228's Linux-block removal and #215's setup recovery reset.
- tests/mainReload.test.ts - fixed registerShutdown seam to return a cleanup function after #216's main.ts change.

Verification

npm run typecheck passed
npm run lint passed (0 errors, warnings only)
npm run format:check passed
npm test passed
