I tried using USO workflow on comfy desktop, but it only outputs black image. I'm guessing I would need to wait for another update, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

This is a known issue—there’s an open report confirming that the USO workflow currently outputs only black images in ComfyUI Desktop, and no official fix or workaround has been posted yet source.
Black image outputs in ComfyUI are often linked to version mismatches, missing/corrupt models, or backend dependency issues (like PyTorch builds), not the desktop app itself. The official docs recommend making sure both ComfyUI and its dependencies are fully updated, ideally using the provided update script, since the desktop version can lag behind the nightly builds and may not support the latest workflows source.
Some users with similar black image issues (not specific to USO) have had luck by reloading or rewiring checkpoint loader nodes, or by generating images multiple times, but these are not guaranteed fixes source.
If you’re already on the latest version and dependencies, you may need to wait for an update that addresses this specific workflow compatibility.
